Viruta Lab is available for new projects

David Puerta and María Daroz lead Viruta Lab, an architecture studio based in Valencia that defines itself as a creative laboratory of architecture and interior design.

The architects’ work methodology is based on their continual pursuit of sensitivity and expressiveness, allowing them to create new spaces resulting from their conceptual interpretation.

For Viruta Lab, delicate nuance and functionality are the essence of their work.

“When something evokes an idea, we immediately start drawing to capture the essence. All we need is a pencil and paper to forever retain something so ephemeral and instantaneous.” From the image of “pencil shavings (viruta) falling one after another to the floor” came the inspiration for the studio’s name.

The team of professionals at Viruta Lab is specialised in new architectural projects as well as refurbishments, with an additional focus on interior design to complete the work. They also work with a professional clientele in the commercial and retail sector to develop restaurants, shops, hotels, clinics, offices and more.
